imajbox is the first completely integrated and autonomous solution for waterways network survey. It can be easily and quickly installed on any kind of boats with no trouble for the boatman.
Waterway asset inventory and management
Inventory and management of the equipment along the linear : watersides, signage and navigation aids, moorings, locks,
Classification of the collected elements (type, characteristics),
Communication towards management software and GIS applications,
Visual inventory of fixtures: virtual visit in the images associated with trace.
Watersides survey
Risk analysis (state of the verges).
Maintenance planning : quantitative inventory for budget planning.
Vegetation inventory
Plan of pruning.
Create and/or update a Linear Referencing System (LRS) - Chainage
Build and publish a linear referencing system in curvilinear X-coordinate (topology and attributes) based on collected data or on external data (GIS layers as shape),
Automatically reference all the sequences (Node + X-coordinate, node number) in the LRS,
Automatically assign a position in the LRS to the assets,
Navigate in the LRS.
Planning and studies – a decision support tool
Visual analysis of channels, locks and structures,
Constitution of geo-referenced imagery databases allowing to measure the evolution in your networks,
Integration of the collected data and images in your own applications via imajnet Web Service
Positioning: a specific boat inertial model
In order to ensure a good quality of positioning and orientation of the images we developed a specific inertial model adapted to the movements of boats (rolling pitching, side movements). This inertial model makes possible to cover in an optimal way zones where GPS signal is masked: dense vegetation cover, structures, etc
Financial benefits
No dedicated missions: the survey can be done from any boat during it regular service (for example associated with bathymetric surveys),
Optimization of the resources pooling the data exploitation :a single survey can be used for several sets of themes (cost cutting of exploitation, better coherence, interworking),
Follow-up and control of the costs of outsourced work (subcontracting, databases images at various stages of advance),
More effective budget appropriation: planning and budget trade-offs more backed up (optimization level of service/cost).
Organizational benefit
Great simplicity of implementation in many types of boats circulating normally on the network,
Independence in gathering data: reactivity, organizational flexibility,
